Ever since the last "upgrade" I've had difficulty posting anything to this forum.

When I attempt to type a reply or post something the fields do not populate with characters as I type. It takes an excessive amount of time to write ANYTHING !

Please FIX THIS !

I'm trying to keep a good attitude about this but the forum needs to be fixed.

I'm as dumb as a box of rockswhen it comes to the internet, but I do just wonder what was wrong with this forum as it was, seemed to work just fine with me!

The software has to be kept up to date in order to prevent hackers from corrupting the site or disrupting it. Rather embarrassing if an automated program starts posting ad links like mad in order to get clicks for revenue or to boost their position on Google searches by having lots of posts with key words link to their site.

Even worse when the auto posted links are to porno sites which is a popular way to promote those type of sites. Nothing says family friendly like "Hot Girls XXX Free" ads in your forum.

Think of upgrade as like oiling a barrel to prevent rust, preventive rather than reactive. We all know putting metal back in a pitted bore is harder than preventing it in first place, even if it still shoots fine today eventually neglect catches up with you.

I suspect the spell check is checking as each letter is typed rather than only at end of word. I noticed the red underline is often there as I type a word rather than at end. Maybe a real time bad word filter. Or something like that. It will get fixed I'm sure. You can always type what you want to say in text editor or email then copy and paste text from there into forum as a temporary work around. Email program usually has spell check which can be a plus.

Real hard to do that when you browse from a phone!

There is a fix posted above. It works.
Please don't get too riled up about this forum. It is one of the best and software glitches happen!

The "glitch" is almost as disruptive as the hackers.

I still can't upload a .jpg photo from my computer. Is this part of the glitch of which we speak? Something else?

May be but it could be the size of the pic. Most use a photo hosting site then link the pic here. Saves on you allowable pic space on the forum.

I don't think it's the size of the photo; photo space is not an issue either. Same camera and settings I've been using for years. I'm using Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge browser.

Are you getting the attachment management screen?

I can upload a pic from a PC, but not my phone. But that's been like that from the start, so I plan accordingly ;)

 So far, every thing seems to be working fine on this end.The only thing that I have noticed is that a few smilies have disappeared. That is no big deal.
Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

What happened to the WTB/WTT subsection of the Selling Thread?

What happened to the WTB/WTT subsection of the Selling Thread?

It has been combined with the WTS section.

Always thought that's the way it should be, IMO it will give more exposure to the WTB listings. Thanks.

It's a double edged sword. Most forums work that way but on an active one it makes finding items harder. Sorting through a lot of WTB threads when you're looking for items for sale can get tiresome if the majority is WTB. Expect to hear complaining either way

Again, if members format their thread title IAW the forum rules - WTS/WTB/WTT there should be no problem determining which threads have items for sale, which threads are looking for items to buy, and which threads are looking to trade items.

Hopefully this works, 3 adds on the 1st page didnt get the memo. So this may take some time

I believe those ads are by members who are Vendor Sponsors. I am trying to figure out a way to recognize their ads in a different manner since they are VS such as have them start their ads with a "VS -".

VS may work good. Thanks for the reply
