Doctors came into my room today and told me that I'm being discharged today. Four days of high powered antibiotics did the job. I also had my second surgery of the month yesterday. They took out everything they put in the first time. Hopefully by this coming weekend I'll feel like casting some boolits.

the greatest feeling in the world is walking out of the hospital. the next is resuming what you love to do. congratulations on both. Do not forget to thank the good Lord for both.

Having spent more than a little time in the hospital over my lifetime, I am forced to agree. Especially on the last point.

Glad to hear you're going home. Doing stuff you enjoy usually help you heal faster. You mentioned earlier that you like "unique" bullets. Look at some black powder bullets.

Getting out of the hospital is INDEED a real blessing, even when there's an aftermath to deal with, which is typical. But as said above, don't forget to be thankful that there WAS a hospital and some good docs to help heal what ailed ya'. And to thank He who enabled all this, too. Things like this make us more mindful and thankful of the everyday "little things" that we love so much, and take for granted all too easily. Good reminder that we're not here forever, and need to enjoy all we can and do all the good we can while we ARE still here! Thanks for the great report.
