Marlin marked Ideal mould, 1910-1915. Been kind of slow here, warm weather is too nice to set in front of a 'puter.

Very cool. More details please, do you have a pic of the cavity?

Oops, forgot to post them. Actually it is a lot different than what we see today. The blocks are narrower and have a slight, top to bottom taper. There are differences inside also. I have figured out a rough Ideal company history, but the tong tools and moulds are still new territory.

That looks like B. F. Wilder's semi-wadcutter, No.360271, the 150-grain version... that REALLY heavy base band kinda gives it away!
Very cool, and thanks for sharing!

Hi Ken, Believe we had a couple of them a number of years ago, think they also were unused. They went to Tom Quigley in March of '98', I know it was then cause I just looked at the book he signed for us. Book is the "CARTRIDGE RELOADING TOOLS OF THE PAST", by Authors R.H.CHAMBERLAIN & TOM QUIGLEY. Had the opportunity to have a few chats with him at some of the cartridge shows we attended. Am sure you may have seen them at one time or another when you visited out west.

Swaneedb, I know TQ well, he even let me see his basement and all I can say is wow! And I thought I had a lot of stuff.
I will be seeing him next weekend in Denver at the Colorado Gun Collectors show. He really is a genuine nice guy. He is also one of the founding fathers of ARTCA.
