Well congratulations there, Grand kids have an advantage over regular kids in that you can spoil them rotten and send them home to their parents when they get rowdy. I wish you many more to enjoy.

I have 2, a boy and a girl, tooo far away down in N Carolina W of Jacksonville.
I'm up in North Dakota. Miss em.

Grandkids are the greatest, they will suck in anything you want to teach them like a sponge, full of love and hugs. And at the end of the day they go home and you can settle into your chair and relax with a big smile and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Karma is real, all the problems your children gave you are going to be revisited on them, in spades. But Grandparents can just love, comfort, teach, show, story tell.

And not worry about the big stuff. You are a lucky man sir. Congratulations.

Congrats, and in the immortal words of an entire generation of grandparents. Hurry up and finish your Red Bull and Twinkie, your mom just called and she is on her way here to pick you up.

Don't forget to start looking for one of those noisy "pop corn" popper things with the stick and wheels that "pops" as it is pushed around. Think it's called Grandparents revenge :-)

Enjoy them! And let them enjoy you.

although he was a pretty good kid all things considered, my boy DID have his moments where he'd sorely try yer patience(and yer self-control). my revenge is at hand. [smilie=p: :Fire:

This is a new beginning, of the rest of your life. My four are 15-19 and I'm looking forward to another generation.
Don't plan on sending them home, cause an sleepover is great.
There's nothing like story time till they fall asleep. Besides, mine all live next door.

Having grandkids is one of the best things a man can have. Beware, they grow up pretty fast. So spend as much time and money on them as you can.
Congratulations!

Whatever momma don't allow is fair game.

Congratulations, Bubba! You're ruint now! You'll be crawlin' around on the floor, babbling baby talk, and taking days for your back to recover before long, now. But you'll be wearing a big ol' grin that would rival a mule eatin' briars! Your best days are ahead of you now! Enjoy!

Now, you understand that bumper sticker that says, "If I'd known how great grandkids are, I'd have had them first!"

And all kids give their parents some trials. Now, when you "spoil" the grands, you can tell the kid that it's payback for the things he did when you both were a lot younger!
