My wife informed me that her mother found my father-in-laws rifles stored away. Don't know what they are, but will find out in two weeks.
I'm stoked. I found an old empty Redfield box last time I was there. Wonder if one of the rifles is sporting that scope??

Hope you get some interesting stuff. Also hope they have not deteriorated too much. Good Luck!

The anticipation would be killing me! Trying to figure out what rifles might be there based on what kind of a man he was! Be sure to let us know!

Shiloh, you must be chomping at the bit. It would drive me crazy.

I am happy for you, and thankful that a collection is going to someone that cares. I cringe every time I see an estate sale of firearms and reloading equipment....what could have been passed down, taught and learned, traditions built and enjoyed by generations to come?????

Nebraska farm boy. One of the most book smart people in the country. Knew the hardware business and obscure parts better than anyone.
When his father died, he left college to run the farm. I found a hollow pointed single cavity 257?? Lyman mold last time I was there.

That's great, there are bound to be a couple gems. Sounds like you found the fixins' for a good flat-shooting prairie round...
