Going on a little trip down to the big city this weekend and may have a some time to kill. Any good reloading supply shops in the Minneapolis / St. Paul area or north of it on Hwy 35?

two little gems, that are kind of a secret.

Gunstop Reloading Supplies, Inc.
14704 Excelsior Blvd.
Minnetonka, MN 55345
http://www.gunstop.com/

Wolf's Den Gun Shop
5554 145th St N, Hugo, MN 55038
(about 10 miles north of the metro)
no website.

this from a yelp review (to which I concur)
"This is an amazing place tucked into a small corner of the north east metro. The Wolf's Den has the best prices on reloading supplies anywhere in the twin cities --and it's not even close. There is a good selection of handguns and shotguns and these guys know their stuff."

Those sound just perfect. One is near some relatives i should visit anyway and the other is close to the hotel. Also going up 61 sounds a lot nicer than fighting my way up 35 till it becomes one highway again.

There used to be a nice gun shop on Main Street in Hopkins. I can't remember the name of the place now. I'd visit there several times a week, after lunch at, Jack Yee's Chinese restaurant. That was back in the early 1980s. I assume that both are gone now?

How about the Frontiersman? That used to be a very good shop. http://www.frontiersmansports.net/

The OP asked specifically for reloading shops. The Gunstop is half reloading and half gun shop with separate owners. The Wolf's Den has a good supply of reloading components

frontiersman has next to no reloading components.

I haven't been to Ammocraft in Hopkins for a couple years, maybe 3 ?
They were hit hard by the 2008 obama shortage, and then hit harder by the shortage of 2013. The last couple times I was there, I noticed the gobbler stuff was taking up lots more floor space, than the reloading stuff.

Thanks for the second round of ideas also. Reloading shops are a little bit more of a rare bird it seems. I asked about them so i didn't get directed to a Gander Mt or Fleet Farm kind of place.

It's in a old bank building in Hugo. Nice little store and I got lucky when i bought my house cause I'm about 1.5 miles from it and 2 miles from my range.
