Just had 2 come to the feeder today. About 2 weeks earlier than normal. I'm at a mile high elevation. Days have been in the mid 80's for awhile, nights around 40. We have an early Spring going for sure. Tomatoes going in the ground this week.

We've been seeing the new guys for about 2-3 weeks now. There are some that hang out year-round around Rockport, but I think they have names and addresses they've been there for so long. We've had a female guarding our two feeders diligently but suddenly she's allowing a Ruby-throat male to hang out. Love is in the air.

No sightings here in Wisconsin yet but my wife will be happy to know they're on the move.

Can send a few buzzards, your way, we have plenty. Turkey vultures and Black. Whenever I field dress a deer, they are on the gut pile before I can load the carcass into the truck for it's trip to the processor.

Saw the first hummingbird (male) at the feeder, yesterday. They are about two weeks late. Even though, we had hardly any Winter, to speak of.

Little luck with hummers here, had gold finches his year, lots of them. Waiting for the painted buntings to show up. The usual crowd stays year round, blue jays ( nice and polite!), red birds, tufted titmouses, black capped chickadees, carolina wrens and red headed woodpeckers. Woodpeckers love the nut and fruit blend, actually roost on edge of large flat feeder a pig out. Will set out humming bird feeder to see what happens.

My first this season checked out an empty feeder. Shame on me, but this is a little early.
Both feeders are now full.

some of the birds have come through.

the swans were in about 2 weeks ago, the geese are around and some ducks are passing through.
the redheads are on their way to the great lakes, they will stop at our lake here before tackling Wyoming.
the whooping cranes have been pairing up, and the Eagles have moved out except for the few that nest around here.
the finches are building their nests in the cedar trees out front as usual.

there is a pretty good contrast between the winter and summer birds here.
oh.
and we do get humming birds here too but I don't feed them.

Hummingbirds have been here in N Texas for 2+ weeks. Not much winter and temps have ranged from mid 70's to low 80's for about a month now. I'm already dreading the summer.

Tomatoes, peas, green beans and squash are up and doing well. Maybe I can make a crop before the 100 degree weather hits.

I haven't seen any hummingbirds in Flagstaff yet, but the orioles are here. It won't be long for the hummers to arrive.

I saw my first this year in Albuquerque at my feeder, a Black-chinned male. We normally get a number of them along with a few Rufous.

Had the first one buzz our window this afternoon. Put out one feeder, we'll see how fast we have to put out the second.

First humming bird showed up here yesterday. Snowing big time right now. Hope the little guy brought his coat.
