help locating old article

Looking for an older article (80s or 90s) about a guy who would convert M1 Garands into 300 Win Mag, 338 Win Mag, and even 458 Win Mag.
No idea which magazine it was in but I know I had it and thought I saved it, but can't find it.

Any leads?

Were they done by LeMag? I remember a 300WM M14 in a magazine back in the 80's from him.

I seem to remember Guns & Ammo mag or either Handloader or Rifle magazines did an article way back when. Might have been a 458 win mag conversion.Getting into something like that and basically you'd be redesigning and enlarging the gas system including the op rod. Remember the gas system on the Garand has a 6000k to 8000k port pressure where the gas leaves the port on the gas cylinder and hits the piston on the op rod. Frank

It was in the same article as the M1 Carbines in 45WM. Don't think it was in Guns&Ammo or GUNS magazine as I remember the magazine wasn't one I had a subscription to. A google search turned up some hits on him for 300wm and 338, but no articles or pics of the guns. Guys name is Tim Legendre of Lemag Firearms.
