Last night when I lube-sized my Lee 452-200-SWC boolits I used the Lyman 460 top punch listed in the available castpics chart.

However, I believe that may be an error, it don't fit the nose for sour owl squat... it ain't even close, the boolit just swims around in the top punch.
Is anyone else lube-sizing that boolit... and what top punch are you using??

Use a flat punch.

LOL
That's basically what the Lyman 460 acts like with this boolit... the boolit nose is only about half the size of the punch cavity.
I'll haf'ta make a flat punch, I can see where it could be useful.

I use a one inch section cut from the unthreaded portion of a ¼" bolt for the top punch for roughly 90% of my lube/sizing needs, even on round noses. most of my boolits are straight ACWW which doesn't usually deform in the RCBS Lubamatic.

The boolit swimming around is OK since the rest is acting like a flat punch anyway.
You can wash the punch out, put epoxy in it and wax a boolit nose. Get it straight and let harden for a perfect fit.
