Some folks here will have this in the bag knowing nearly every mould from every maker and key typical design quirks of particular makers and of course the unique to a particular maker bullet .

Some of these are much copied some aren't at least 2 are original or reworked and at least 2 aren't what you think they are . As luck would have it there are 26 bullets . So A -Z marked G ood , K it , T ops.

Which bullets came from "kit" moulds , good , better ,top shelf moulds .

No cherry picking or photo shopping was done . All are as cast even the one with the gas check as it was installed in a no touch push through sizer .
Alphabetically they are from Cramer to NOE and obviously some are new and some have been around a while .

For gawds sake don't take this too seriously . It's supposed to be fun with a point no matter how blunt it might be . Obtuse the point might be obtuse .... :):drinks:[smilie=1::-D8-):p:smile:

That is very true . I will be the first admit there's a couple there that haven't found the rifle or pistol that they like best , yet .

I'll go out on a limb and say that boolit W is a wadcutter. Just which wadcutter, I don't know.

...and Bullet A has a much bigger diameter than Bullet Z

"O" is that Lyman mold ( perhaps even old Ideal ) with the extra nose lube grove that you are supposed to fill in by hand. I hear the new blocks for it don't have that any more. Supposed to be stellar in two grove 03-a3's.

F would be a Lyman 454424 a G ood to T op shelf .
W would be a Lyman 358432 a G ood to T op shelf .
O would be a Lyman 265 I don't remember , also a good to top shelf .

I done pretty well on the end of the C's got most of the I's and all the L's I started doing good again at the back of the N's.
I had to look for a couple of them.

I's , humm .

I know there are plenty of folks that know all the molds of a maker or 2 .

I'm surprised that so few want to separate the proverbial Wheat from chaff .

The quest wasn't to ID every boolit but to pick out which bullets came from a $90 single , $100 double , $105 5C or a $20 2C or $35 6C . I'm really surprised that of all the lookers that past by nobody mentioned the 50 gr original Bator that as far as I know was only made by Lee , "Y". I would have to check the Cramer number because that doesn't seem right ,"T".

A G to T Lyman 458193
B T Mountain Moulds 453-350
C K Lee 457-340F
D G to T Lyman 429421 modified to .448 bands
E T NOE 454-250 copy of the 454424
F G to T Lyman 454424
G K Lee 452-255
H K Lee 456-228
I G RCBS 45-200
J T NOE 35-228 XCB
K K Lee 312-155
L G to T RCBS 27-130
M T NOE 260-120
N K Lee 285-130
O G to T Lyman 264??? It was a loaner I ran 500 and returned it.
P T NOE copy 301618 paper patch
Q T NOE 310-230
R G Lyman 310299U it casts barely .308 it patches nice
S G Lyman 313226
T Cramer #45
U T LBT 403 175 , what it is unknown number I just didn't look it up.
V K Lee 358-158
W G Lyman 358432 161gr
X K Lee 358-125
Y K Lee 50 gr original Bator
Z T NOE 225-55 @ 62 gr copy of the 22-55 .

The point , obtuse as it may be , is that well poured over all you can't tell what mould maker made a particular mould if you don't know the bullet design on sight , even when they are known sometimes one slips by .
