No, not the kind that wants to buy you a drink & get you outta yer britches. a good friend of mine has put his T/C Hawken Cougar up for sale on Armslist. priced much less than what they typically go for on Gunbroker & about as nice a piece of walnut as yer likely to see at that price-point. listin' says "Roanoke Virginia" but when ya click on it you'll see it's in Pulaski County.

That is one pretty piece of wood on that rifle, and price seems good also. Good luck.

I ain't got a dime invested or a dog in this fight. just tryin' to help two people out. one bein' my buddy that's sellin' his beautiful gun, the other bein' whoever here wants a beautiful gun for a pretty reasonable price. and without the hagglin' & nervous waitin' of places like gunbroker.

and that stock looks much better in person.

No, I just saw that it was sold. It was nice, but I'm a .54 guy.

My Renegade, my flint Hawken, and both caplock Hawkens are .54s.

I got one little .45 Hawken for squirrels and such. ;)

I knew it wouldn't last long, ive seen the Hawken Cougars sell for more in the 800 range. If i could have only 1 Muzzleloader it would be a Hawken Cougar with a Stainless Green Mountain LRH barrel, either .50 or .54 Cal, i would say .45 Cal but here in Idaho there is a .50 Cal minimum for Elk, Which drives me nuts, i shoot a 400 plus grain bullet from my .45 Which is more than sufficient BUT, the law is the law

It really pisses me off. In Idaho I can legally hunt elk with a 25 ACP but not a 45 cal Muzzleloader with a 408 grain bullet.

well, if yer 45cal muzzleloader had the awesome ballistics & knockdown power of yer 25acp............................[smilie=1::Fire:

Not to mention the penetration of those 50 grn FMJ and the large wound cavity it produces!
