Yesterday three fires erupted in the area. One in the western panhandle in Oldham county, one in Wheeler county that badly burned a volunteer fireman/ county road grader operator when his machine died and he was caught by the fire. He was lifeflighted to a burn center with burns on 30% of his body. The third fire started in Roberts county and burned into Ochiltree county, consuming a reported 30,000 acres.
The Wheeler fire affected land owned by some of the same people who suffered loss in the fire two weeks earlier.

Hate to hear it, especially about the blade operator.
the wind in that country can sure drive a fire fast and furious, and the fire seems to create it's own wind too.
