I doubt anyone actually uses mineral oil in LLA, as it would not dry.
Mineral spirits is paint thinner and rapidly evaporates,, it just allows you to put a thinner coat or to thin out an older bottle that has evaporated some of it's thinner.

Mineral Spirits is found at Wally World, "Your" Mart & local Hardware stores.

Mineral Oil can be found at Wally World, Drug Emporium, Rite Aide etc..

As stated above Mineral Oil is just un-scented Baby Oil.

I use Mineral Oil as an ingredient for my bullet lube recipes too.

The label on the circa 16 oz bottle of stuff I use to thin my LLA reads, "Mineral Oil U.S.P. Intestinal Lubricant."

You can drink small amounts of medical grade Mineral oil for a lubricating effect to the digestive system. I believe that mineral oil is also the main ingredeant in Ballistol gun/real oil as they claim it is non-toxic.
