About 5 years ago I threw a 15 gallon plastic bag full of the old metal powder cans away, IMR, Hercules, Winchester, Remington, etc. . Such a dumb move, I regretted it within days of doing it. A case of spring cleaning getting out of hand. james

Are these cans collectible or do they have any value? I have a few and like sailorman, I have pitched them in the past. Actually still using powder from some of them.

Sparky, DO NOT do as TNsailorman did and throw them away. They are the end of an era. Plastic is king now and the metal cans will have value, some do already.

Good advice, they will remain on the shelf.

fivgunner,
nice collection! I especially like the early unique and wood powder cans.
Here's a few oldies
DuPont No. 1 bulk smokeless was used in factory b.p cartridges....45-70/ .45-90, etc.
28 grs occupied the same space as 70 grs of b.p.
