9mm is .356 38 special is .357 or .358 for cast so most of the time they wont interchange with any accuracy

My #1 9mm cast boolit is the Lee 358-125-RF. I powder coat it and size it to.357. I use it in my Kel Tek PF9, Hi point 9, Hi Point 995ts, and S&W m&p 9. It is accurate in all these guns. I had to send the M&P to DougGuy to be throated because it would not chamber anything larger than .355 .
I size this boolit to .359 and use it in my 38's and .357 Mag's.
Some are even using it in their .380's . I haven't tried it yet but I will soon.
I am loading it with 5.5 grains of Herco in the 9's. This is a lightly compressed load but is well below the max. I was loading this boolit before I came in to eat, and I am going back to it after I finish. Some say they have trouble with this boolit feeding, but most do not.

My Beretta barrels slug at .357 so I can use anything that drops at .357 or larger. My favorite is the NOE 360-135-FN. It functions in any 9mm and also works well in my 38 since it drops at .358.
My second favorite is the NOE-358-155-TC(ELCO). I have it with hollow point pins and can use it in both 9mm and 38 special.
Third in line is the Lee TL356-95-RF. It shoots well and gives a light weight, low recoil boolit that saves lead.

My CZ 75 requires a .358 bullet because of its large bore. I use the Lee 358-125 FRN. It must be seated deep so that lead does not accumulate in the chamber. After a few rounds you would get a round that would not chamber.

The Lee 358-105-SWC , sized .357 , works well in my Walther P-38 9 mm.

Some boolits will and some won't, it all depends.

It'll take more than a week, but not much more. I don't think any of mine have taken over two weeks. While it's a rare case, I've heard of one member having a delayed shipment due to customs...but they did get their mold, it just took a little longer. That's pretty good out of the hundreds (or thousands?) of molds they have shipped to the USA.

Except many of us shoot 0.357" bullets in a 9mm. Yes you can use a mold for each as long as the mold throws at least a 0.358" bullet.

I only use the 6 cavity Lee 356-120 TC regular groove. I started with it and have never seen a reason to change. I can empty my Lee 4-20 pot in just over an hour using it. Sized at .358" and tumble lubed with one coat of BLL, accuracy is great.

I have a Hipoint C9 that shot shotgun patterns until I tried loading some of the .358 124 gr cast in it. Was amazing to see nice tight groups.

Same for a 9mm handi rifle stub job, same solution, but I do load those a bit hotter.

Bullet fit is king, but you need to know what will fit in there. Some 9ths are tight, some are generous.

Chamber cast is your friend, and well worth the time if you really want to know.
Bore camera with a dummy bullet chambered can also give you some clues in some situations.

The lee 368-125-rf is the only mold I own for 9mm. It's supposed to be a .38/357 mold, but it works fine. Adjust load data to match the deep seating depth, size as needed.

Only ordered one so far but arrived quickly and boy, what a piece of art. I have it in cold confidence that he will have this mold back in stock in 2 weeks time, and I'm going to be ordering one

Of course you can if the weight/design are appropriate and will feed in your pistol. To say that 9mm is .356 is misleading, especially when dealing with lead boolits. You will hear . . "slug your bore" . . . and that is so you know exactly what your bore measures from groove bottom to groove bottom - then size you boolits accordingly. What will also determine you "sized" size is what will chamber. I had a 9mm that would chamber and shoot .358 just fine. One I have now requires that I size them to .357 to chamber and shoot well.

One of my favorite molds is the Lyman/Ideal 358-242 which casts a nice 121 grainish round nose. I use it in my 9mm and also out of my 38 specials, 38 Colt Long loadings. It drops at .359 and out of the 38s, I shoot it as just as it drops form the mold size wise. For the 9mm, I put them through a Lee push through .357.

If you are thinking of buying a good quality mold - take a look in the Group Buys - there is currently a group buy being put together for a nice 120 ish + grain round nose in several designs through NOE.

It all depends on chambering, but shooting a lead boolit + .001 to .002 oversize of the bore is not uncommon. Too small and you'll get leading and could get "key holing" as well.

If I had to limit myself to one mold it would be the MP 125 hollow point because it's so versatile. If I could have two the second would be the NOE 128 SWC. Third would be the Lee 120 TC--but not the tumble lube version.

The NOE 128 is a straight sided SWC that makes a great bullet for 357 Sig, which is why I bought it. It's also a darned good 38 special bullet. I size and lube them at 359 for revolvers, then run them through a push thru at 357 for the Sig.

That ELCO mold is pretty nice. I've got the 2 cavity RG mold and love it. Well worth the cost. Much higher quality than my usual Lee and Lyman moulds.
