This is a group buy for a MP MOLD core mold, it will cast 185" cores for swaging 224" bullets. We have 3 weight (45,55,65) options, 55grs as a standard. MiHec said he can do another weight, but not more then 4 different weights.

Mold will be:
- 8 cav aluminium
- core dia 185" .
- MP Mold style (thick) sprue cutter with handle
- mold can use Lee or MP handles (not included).
- 80€ delivered, will be coverted to $$ when paid
3 weight options:
45grs (light),
55grs (medium)
65grs (heavy)

Mold will be based on MiHec new 8cav aluminium mold with handle. Blank 8cav molds are ready. No mixing of different weights in same mold. Weight of core (depth of cavity) will be calculated based on pure lead. Please have this in mind when casting cores from alloys.

Sequence of events: Participants order molds and are placed on the list, the Group Buy will close (which will be posted on the thread) at some time determined by MiHec, the molds are made from the orders on the list at the time it is closed or by altering what you want via PM to MiHec after it's closed. Just FEW extra molds will be available in his web shop. This is a special run, order them by PM to MiHec. Invoices will be sent out via e-mail from the listed addresses and you pay by using Paypal. Invoices will be in Euros which Paypal converts from Euros to dollars.
After you pay, the mold gets shipped.

Today I tested my 50grs version, and I made test run with what I had in my furnace (pure with more then 5%tin).

I got 48.1grs beautiful cores and 0.2 grs max variation in weight. I swaged them as cast straight into jackets for a friend who competes in 3gun. He needs a lot of free 224" bullets and me skipping:
cutting the wire, swaging the core to desired weight, I already see how fast I am using cast cores.

55grs will cast 55 with pure.
I ordered 55 (standard) and 50 versions, 50 gave me 48grs with what I had in my furnace. Test run, 1st time. Consistency is excellent.

Finely got time to cast with the 8-cav 55gr core mold today. All's I can say is WOW!!!

The mold rained a pile beautiful cores in a hurry. They measured .186" using 20# of pure lead and 1oz of tin. I only weighed 20 random cores and the weight range was from 54.1gr to 54.5gr.

It didn't take long, less than an hour to cast #12 of cores (1500 cores) with this 8-cavity mold. I simply cleaned the mold with dawn dish soap and pre-heated it and started casting. The mold cast excellent quality cores from the 1st pour & the cores fell right out of the mold.
