Seems like somebody saw you coming. I just looked at Graf's and they have them in stock for $29.99. Even allowing for shipping and Haz Mat. $51.00 seems a bit unrealistic.

CCI 200's are $32.99/1000 normal price at Cabela's. And Cabela's is rarely the cheapest place to get anything that is not
on sale.

I paid that much back in 2013 when nothing was available. These days $30 is about right, $35 max. Although I have seen a couple dealers who's prices on primers didn't come back down so it's possible.

$27-$31 a thousand at every show near me. 4-5 bucks more at the LGS.

I pay $35.50 per thousand at our club's pro shop, and they jack the price up a bit for the club's benefit. That's for CCI--Win. primers run about $2 more.

So the CCI LR Benchrest Primers are $59.99/1000 at Cabela's and are on Backorder. So that is probably a decent price you paid for them.

I`m still using primers I`ve got in GI ammo cans from 10 or more years back when they were under $10/1000.Robert

The way to buy powder and primers is to get a group of your shooting buddies together and make a large order. I use Powder Valley and they will mix powder and primers and ship up to 50 total pounds. This spreads the shipping out so that its not too bad. Last fall CCI were $27.00/1000 but these were not the benchrest. Powder was from $19 to $26 or so.

I just got 3 bricks of shot shell primers for 20.25 [at Cabela's] they didn't have any more or I'd be set for the next 10 years.

They're $40/K everywhere around here. On occasion you can find them for $35 but $39.99 is the going rate here. $50 is high.

The cabelas here has S&B for 25 with tax all the local places are 30-40 depending on flavor. If your gun will shoot the slightly harder S&B it's the way to go

Midway has CCI Benchrest Large rifle at $58.99 . CCI Standard large rifle primers are $34.99.
And then you add the hazmat and postage . If you meant to buy Benchrest Primers you were treated fairly. If you meant to buy regular primers....you bought the wrong primers. If so , see if they will exchange them for you, local shops will usually do things like that for their customers.
