crazy weekend weather

single digit temps Friday mornin' with 40mph winds blowin' snowflakes around. dull gray day yesterday with occasional drizzle. 70 degrees today but the wind's back. only gustin' to 15 or 20 mph today though. and still kinda gray & drab.

Sunshine yesterday and today. A nice break from the rain and flooding here. A levee broke about ten miles from here a couple of days ago. I had to go to the DMV and drove through 15 or 20 places where water was across the road.

I hope this gets down to the water table, as the water table has dropped a couple hundred feet over the last seven years of drought. The water is badly needed, but there's been so much that most of it is just running off.
