Went out this morning to turn on the pot and this is what my pot looked like.

Just cooled.

I'm used to a small crack or dimple but this one is big. The pot was full. Half and half COWW/pure with added tin.

Lead does weird things when it cools and heats. Our larger solder pots at work spit when they are heating up. We keep metal covers on them when they are not being used and on until they are fully heated when we do want to use them.

I usually get to melt something 4-5 days a week. Being broken means work doesn't interfere with my play time. It also helps keep my mind off my health problems which keeps me mentally healthy.

Boy when I read the title I rushed right over, and all it is is a pot full of lead.

I just figured on seeing a puddle of lead on the shop floor. Instead we got to see what a lead weavle can do in a pot of lead.
