I was in the new Menards (in Belton) yesterday, looking around, when I spied the eye protection section. I don't know if it was because the store is new or if it is a company wide price, but they had safety glasses for $.99.

That's right ninety nine cents. I picked up a pair to try out, they fit as well as any other cheap set that meets the ANSI standard; and for $.99 it won't break the bank or your heart to throw them away when they get scratched up.

Next time I am up that way I am going to pick up a few more sets just to have on hand. If nothing else, it is cheap insurance.

As long as it meets standards. Cheap is good.

I got several pairs with differing tints at Harbor Freight not long ago. I want my grandboys to learn to ALWAYS use the safety equipment. If they don't, it could cost them one day.

I just picked up a dozen Mini-Safety Glasses for Children from Amazon for $13.75 (with free shipping). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B013EO7CIQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I went ahead and got some small hearing protection at the same time. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015HJHE6Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1. $14.98 a pair, NRR 27db.

Getting ready for the day I can take my little grand daughter out shooting [smilie=w:

Thanks for the link for the eye glasses. Myself and all my shooting buddies have or are about to have little ones. Time to stock up.

Be careful. There is a difference in impact resistant and shatter resistant and several grades of each.

Scratch Resistant coating is important to me. I get several years of good visibility for $7 from Brownelles
