Inexpensive eye protection

I was in the new Menards (in Belton) yesterday, looking around, when I spied the eye protection section. I don't know if it was because the store is new or if it is a company wide price, but they had safety glasses for $.99.

That's right ninety nine cents. I picked up a pair to try out, they fit as well as any other cheap set that meets the ANSI standard; and for $.99 it won't break the bank or your heart to throw them away when they get scratched up.

Next time I am up that way I am going to pick up a few more sets just to have on hand. If nothing else, it is cheap insurance.

I got several pairs with differing tints at Harbor Freight not long ago. I want my grandboys to learn to ALWAYS use the safety equipment. If they don't, it could cost them one day.

Be careful. There is a difference in impact resistant and shatter resistant and several grades of each.
