Would this style bullet be accurate @ 300 yards?

I've never really learned if pointed bullets or round nose bullets are more accurate.

I don't see why not, although I haven't used it.

I will say that the Lyman designed 311334 (195 grains) or 311299 (208 grains) are both very accurate out at 300 yards when shot at 1,800 to 1,900 fps or so. Both designs are in the photo below.

What rifle are you planning to use it from?

Not enough information provided and too many variables involved to answer your question. However, for 300 yards, a considerably heavier bullet would generally work better if your barrel twist will handle it.

that's the better choice of the 2 in that weight range.
LEE jacked the dog on the regular lube groove version, their COG is too far forward as is their rear drive band.

that boolit will get to 300 yds no problem.

I tried to look up a Lakemaster rifle, but came up empty. I'm guessing though, that your barrel is the standard 1 in 10" twist common to most Ought Six rifles. If that's the case, your rifle will easily handle heavy bullets and be accurate to your goal of 300 yards.

The heavier the bullet you shoot, the better it will handle the longer ranges that you want to shoot at.

run five, you don't think the lee 155 is accurate at longer ranges? as you know I am shooting them and the 185 out of my sks. for 100 yards or less hog hunting, which would you use? both expand about the same, believe it or not.

What do they expand to?

I think what 5 means is the bc of the 155 isn't as good as the. 160. Just by looking at them i knew i wanted the 160 for longer distances

I have not tried the TL version but have shot the regular lube grove one. Shot it out to 450 yds. Made hits every time on steel plates that were 12" round.

At the same time, I was shooting a 168gr AMAX out of the 308 win. at 1000 yds. I had my scope dialed in to the 1000 yards. The drop at 1000 was the same spot at 500 yds for the cast bullet. It was kind of funny. Lots of people that day were amazed at how accurate the lead was.

Second set of targets was the 450yds set. It is right at the shadow. 1000 yds was all the way to the back at the tree line. It was kind of tricky shoot into that valley. The winds were going left to right then right to left to straight away.

that's awesome, I finally decided to use the 155 instead of the 185 for hogs, I got more penetration and about the same expansion from the 155, I have it loaded over 21 grains of rel7, max is 22grs. with the sks, clays at 50 yards are no problem, and I finally adjusted the front site so that the rear site is set at 100 now!
