We could use a little 'Pledge of Allegiance' and morning prayer back in our schools again...

The little one room school, with its grades 1 to 8 (13 to 16 students) had a piece of canvas(?) belting that teacher used. Very few days went by without some of us getting an attitude adjustment and we sure as heck never went whining to our parents. I don't think any of us were the worse off for all that.

There are still morning prayers in schools. Teachers and people of authority just aren't allowed to lead them.

God bless America and lets hope we are on the path to being a great Nation again and that the world learns to be afraid of us again
I took an oath many decades ago and I have never been told that I was free from that oath many others took the same oath, we know all to well the price one pays to be in a free nation, a nation that honors those that stand in between them and those that seek to take our way of life away from us.

May the Lord bless us as a Nation and Israel that we may once again be truly drawn to tears when we see our flag be it flying in the sky free or draped over one who stood for us and gave all so we could sleep well at night in our own beds and homes.

Thanks, Wilco. Great post, and such a moving sentiment. Anyone who's ever served in our military will always have a very different perspective from which we see that grand old flag. A perspective the protected will never be able to know or truly understand fully. God bless and keep the USA!

My wife is a fifth grade teacher and she had all the kids in her class watch the inauguration, made the kids stand out of respect for the flag, and explained why this event was so important to our country. All of the kids in her class were really proud to be Americans by the time she was done. Also, no behaviour issues at all the rest of the day. I think its about time for some "God bless America" and prayer in our schools again!

In 1954 I was born in a US Army hospital in Bad Kreuznach Germany. I have never made it back there to see my birthplace. I am proud of my fathers service to this country during both WWII and Korea. My older brother was born in Osaka Japan. I cannot think of another country that I would rather live in than the USA.

We need to have more Pride in our country and in ourselves. We also need to protect that Pride for ourselves and future generations.
I am not going to state Pride in God and Country because some do not believe in God or the same God as I do and they have that right.

I can understand disagreements and protesting and will defend those rights. What I find disgusting are the anarchists disguised as protesters. They are out there and growing in numbers.

They are not disguised...the bandana means nothing...when President Trump says "round them up boys", they couldn't be any 'more identifiable'!

Your birth, regardless of where it was in he world...on a Military Base...was Sovereign U.S. soil!

I always wonder if the Anarchist understand in a world of anarchy they are a target without consequences. Fire for effect boys. Its TRE.

The red head with the American flag is actually a Brit. You can watch her the show Dr Who on BBC. I saw her at Comic Con. She is better looking in person. So much for the red head. I am excited along with the rest of the country to see the new changes. God bless America and President Trump, and our fighting men and women. Amen.

If I whined to my mom about a spanking at school I would have been sent to the switch tree. Instead I always prayed mom would not find out.

Pfc. Sousley and PFC Hayes are mislabeled in this picture. Pfc. Hayes is a Pima Indian and is shown here with a native blanket attached to his backside.

Also, Sgt. Hansen was misidentified in this picture. It's really Cpl. Harlon Block.
His mother went to her grave swearing that it was her boy pictured at the base of the flag.
Said she would never forget his "Rump" after all the diaper changes and powdering's.

Amen!

It's been around many times, but it is always a good reminder to all . . . .

Red Skelton said it best many years ago . .. .

https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=red+skelton+pledge+of+allegiance&view=detail&mid=F47F4756CC851186E1F0F47F4756CC851186E1F0&FORM=VIRE

And for those of us old enough to remember watching Red Skelton every week - he brought laughter to us all - but he never ended a show without saying . . . "Goodnight and God Bless". It sure makes a person think. It's too bad that those in Hollywood who belong to the selfish, self centered, elite leftist bunch . . . can't take a lesson and learn a few things from Red Skelton or others like Bob Hope . . . who never spent a Christmas at home with his family but instead spent it with the men and women in uniform to help make their holiday a little brighter.
