The 'P-DJT-45', the 'President Donald J. Trump .45' ... or some catchy name that would look outstanding engraved on the slide of a 1911, a commerative that every American in the country can afford...no splashy Gold Inlay or BS like that...just a working mans .45, functional + great sights + ? .

Do you think one of the leading manufacturers might jump on that idea?
Do you have a better name or idea?

Well, whatcha got?

Call Talo and see if they can get Colt to do it. I'd kind of accept a Springfield or a Kimber, but no foreign guns.

If Colt does it.... I'd really be interested. I might need a third Colt 1911. 8-):Fire:

Don't worry, like the Pres said..."American made!"

I can't imagine a Trump version being anything but gold plated.

Nawp...this is about the American citizen...the working man that's going to rebuild this country with the sweat of his brow and his calloused hands.

Our President wasn't up there today saying Me, Me, Me...he was saying We, We, We.

Besides...it's got to be affordable for every Citizen. I bet the President would agree too.

Anybody know what make, and model President Trump carries? That would make a great commemorative gun.

From what I could gather he carries a Sig 229, H&K .45, and a S&W 38. Smith should jump on this.

Springfield are made outside the US, so there goes your no foreign gun requirement.

Are you sure about that? I know they used to assemble 1911' from foreign parts in the U.S.A., but I was under the impression that that changed and now their 1911's are assembled here from U.S. sourced/made parts.

Besides...it's got to be affordable for every Citizen.

That's a subjective term, like affordable health care.
