I have 3, 358495's . All three are different . How many did Lyman make ?

Each time a cherry is cut it may be subtly different than the preceding one.....it's as much art as science. Therefore, the answer to the question is "as many as the number of cherries they made."

For example, my 225438 of recent vintage don't look much like my early one.

Have a couple molds like that. One is an extreme change, nothing like the original. No answer though. I guess when they here a bunch of complaints they change things up.

correct answer is all of them.
:kidding:

they are famous for changing their designs from time to time.
they change cherry makers and just give them a basic measurement plan to work from.
they get back the makers interpretation of that plan.

Lots of the popular designs were like that. I know of four versions of the 225438 and I personally have three different variations of the 358395 hollow base in weights running from 141 through 161 grains. Don't think they ever made drawings back in the old days. Made a cherry and if the machinist was off a bit between batches on the set up, so be it./beagle
