Before I quit casting, my favorite mould and boolit was the RCBS 150 gr. SWC. I cast and shot loads of them. Does anyone know of a commercial caster that sells this particular boolit? I have a bunch from my last casting session but the pile is getting smaller, and I would like to find a replacement, or a good alternative. I would even consider a 158 gr. of similar design.
Thanx

What mold # and caliber?

RCBS 38-150 Keith Type.

I have that mould and it's a really good one. Mine has been producing great bullets (mostly from WWs) since the mid 70s.

I've never seen it listed by a commercial caster. I don't think that it will fit their automated machinery. Almost all of the commercial casters offer a 158 grain SWC that should work for you. Almost all of these commercial 158 grain SWC will be cast from very hard alloy.

Montana Bullet Works at https://www.montanabulletworks.com/shop/?filter_caliber=357 offers two bullets that may interest you. They are:

357, RCBS 82065, 158gr, SWC-GC
and
357, RCBS 82032, 158gr, SWC-PB

All bullets are hand cast, and my experience dealing with the owners has been outstanding.

Check" Rimrock Bullets"; they have a very wide and varied selection. You can order by hardness as well as style and weight.

Try http://www.glcbullets.com/ for the 158 gr SWC BB, you can also get them with Hi-Tek coating.

Most of the bought cast bullets I've shot lately have come from Dave and family, very good people to do business with, I agree!

Thanks for the suggestions. I took the advice in a couple of other posts, and an article by Ed Harris, that said the revolver throat dimensions were the most important. I don't have the means to slug or measure my barrel, but I have some some Speer .360 lead balls, so I slugged my cylinder throats....3577, .3575, .3575, .3573, .3573, .3575. So, what diameter boolits do I order? .357, which matches (sort of) my cylinder throats, or .358?
Thanks.

I have the RCBS mold, and agree it casts a nice bullet. Before I got into casting (a recent development), I was loading a 158 gr SWC from Leatherhead bullets. They are Hi-Tek coated. Recommend them.
