Just wondering what the women of cast boolits shoot I'll start by posting pictures of my wife's favorites. This would be her Remington 870 12GA and her Savage Axis 308.

Mine will load and shoot my .50 inline ML and her .38 snubby, but other than that she only likes rimfire.

Ruger Mk III about a year old, sports a Truglo Red Dot sight. At 20 feet she can cover a 10 shot group with a pop bottle cap with room to spare on all sides.

When she shot my Hipoint carbine for the first time she fell in love with the red dot sight.
Her first target had a 2" stick on black bullseye, after 10 rounds what was left of it resembled a smiley face. "Where you put the dot is where the bullet goes, how awesome is that!"
But she thought the .40sw "bumped" her shoulder a little so she wanted one a little smaller.

Her last gun is a pawn shop 20 ga by H&R, single shot, setup with ammo carrier, and it has 25 rounds loaded in a ammo box nearby. About half are punkin balls and the other half are #1 buckshot. We need to get out and pattern it and see how she does with it.https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTs95fqwljZXet51PDb8wlJMQ7465xcy hGgf9mk7GllCBtNMWDzmg

Mine is not an avid shooter but she has hunted with me and likes to go to the "Farm" for critter control. Her carry gun is a S&W Model 60, her plinker is a S&W Model 686, 6 inch, with a 2X scope, her deer rifle is a Weatherby Vanguard in 308 Winchester with a Leopold and I bought her a Ruger 77-22, also with a Leopold, for her critter gun. She hunted with me quiet a bit when the boys lived at home, including several trips to Canada for Whitetail. Her interest now are the Grandkids with the occasional Sunday afternoon riding around over at the farm. She used to shoot my AR or my H&K some and I offered up an AR but the interest is not there anymore. She would rather ride around in the truck with her Ruger and a large sweet tea from Sonic and shoot critters while I load magazines. :-D

Most anything I have ammo for. Being limited to a wheelchair has taught her patients and she makes every shot count. I push and she protects while I have both hands busy.

Aside from the occasional intemperate glare, mine has a short 12 ga. SxS that she is all too willing to use. Introduced her to it with sub-sonic factory loads. The recoil was so slight she overcame her trepidations and now is very comfortable with it. Being a wee thing, I shortened the stock and installed a nice recoil pad for her. Now it's her shotgun.

mine isn't picky.
but she seems to have a few favorites.
the new 1300, her savage in 30-06, the 1911 in 9mm, the ruger NM black hawk in 44 special seems to be one she likes too.
and the 300 b.o.
that one in particular is hard to keep enough loaded ammo on hand for her rifle.

I don't think she knows I have her Grandpa's old S&W but has commented that 'he had one like that when she was a kid' when I have taken it out to shoot.

Her EDC is a Gen 3 Glock 26, her prior Duty gun is a 2nd Gen Glock 19, her pocket companion when she lets the dawg out at night is MY 9mm LCR. She generally only shoots to re-qual every year ...... :(

My wife has a Nerf gun to scare squirrels away from the bird feeders.
She won't touch a firearm and if you knew her you'd agree that that's a good thing.

Mine does not hunt anymore. When she did it was a Dan Wesson 357 with a Burris scope and an 870 slug gun. Now she keeps the 870 loaded with 00 buck handy, a Ruger 380 with Corbons underneath her towels in the bathroom, a S&W 36 flat latch in her purse loaded with Hydrashocks, and she shoots all of them very well. We have a range in the back yard and the ammo in them gets freshened up regularly

Nice laminate on that Axis. My wife for the most part shoots what I do as I get her one for every one I shoot. Axis 243, Taurus Judge, Kahr CW45, Kahr MK9, Sig 938, Ruger 10/22, Ruger Single Six etc...... I just made the mistake of letting her try out both my Target Masterpiece and my Combat Magnum. She had that grin that let me know more money is coming out of my pocket

Mine carries a ladysmith 642 with a lazer sight. She shot my lcp once, and it really got her arthritis in an uproar and crippled her up for a day or so. But that aside she will shoot anything else I own. Being petite she has a hard time with the M1 unless we can get a bench to shoot off of.

Mine doesn't shoot as much as she did when we had our old (1890s) farmhouse but hasn't given up any of her guns, either: a Win 9422, a Rem 870 Skeet Special, and a 4" Colt Diamondback. I've offered a dozen times to trade a slicked-up SP101 for that DB but she just reminds me that I gave it to her for a birthday present 40-some years ago and says she's kinda sentimental about it.

My wife will shoot a rifle rarely but prefers a handgun under 40 cal. She rarely shoots over 25 yards and gets mad when I try to correct her terrible form. Her feet move more than on a dance floor but she is happy with that.

Mine carries a G42 in her purse and shoots a G19 in GSSF. She shoots a pink camo M&P 15-22 in steel challenge. Also has a Ruger SR-22 she likes. I trust her capabilities as my backup.

Met mine on active duty. We both qualified with M16's & 9mm. She usually outscored me but I put rounds on target faster. She was concerned about scores & I was concerned with center mass. She always had Rugers. She had a 357, 9mm & 380. She still has the 357 but sold the 9mm & 380. These days she has a S&W Ladysmith in 38 special close by. Last year I made the mistake of letting her shoot my Kimber 45 acp. Now every time we go to a gunshow she eyes them mighty hard.

My wife has small hands and thin wrists. She likes to shoot anything that's very light, no recoil, wants to carry a pistol that's very small, fits in purse without removing all the other **** to get to it., doesn't make to much noise and nothing she has to think about to use it !

Really ? She settled on a S&W 10 stub nose which she shoots extreamly well. Won't carry it much but it's around for protection. A Tauras pt-22 also.
She carries me around too because I'm always armed !

My wife carries a 9mm Shield daily in the car; on the farm an H&R Sportsman .22; out hunting her favorite- a S&W 67 4".38 special with 160 swc. Her rifle collection is a Rossi .357; a Howa factory sporter.30 carbine; and her custom(by me) Sako .250 Savage. Her.22 is an ugly old Marlin store branded m60; and her shotguns are her everyday H&R Topper 20 ga; a Stoeger 28ga.SXS; and her late father's m17 Remington pump 20 gauge. We've not fired the safe queen 28 but she's country girl deadly with all the rest. Best, Thomas.

I love all the different makes and models listed here. It is so awesome that there are capable women out there.

I was kind of hoping that this could be a thread showing pictures of the women's guns, or targets, or game you know as a way to let the women know that they are not alone. That just as many women shoot as men do these days.

I know my lovely wife feels alone sometimes when she starts talking about shooting with her girlfriends.
