I am planning to be at the Andy Dalton on January 15. My significant other has a nephew with a friend visiting from Wales. We took him last weekend to shoot a .22 rifle. He wants to try something that will make a little more noise so I am going to oblige. Can't have our U.K. friends think we are ill-mannered.

Drop me a PM if you would like meet another member of the board and swap lies. I will be riding herd on three young men, so I won't be doing much shooting unless it is the bull.

I am going to be moving to the Bolivar area later this year, so I imagine they are going to learn my name fairly quickly. Had a good time and the young man from the UK seemed to enjoy himself in spite of the less than wonderful conditions. I am not sure why, but it seems like the shooters I take to the range tend to gravitate to my old marlin 336 in .35 rem.

I had occasion to shoot next to a family from England a while back.... Family they were visiting brought them out to shoot a 22, and I was shooting my Garand. Both gentlemen next to me knew what it was, and I encouraged both of them to put a clip through it. I gave the Brit an end bloc with his empty brass as a souvenir... I hope customs let him keep it....
