One of my roomates had some friends up from the peoples republic of massechusetts. See as how they'd been victims of a nanny state since birth we figured they needed a taste of real life. So we loaded up the futon, full cooler, some fireworks and a few plinkin guns, and went for a cruise on the snowmobile trails.

fyi- michigan has a weird law stating that its not considered having and open container as long as the pickup truck has a solid rear window.

Them boys don't look old enough to drink. I would NEVER have done anything like that when I was that age.[smilie=1:

Dan,
I think the green strap to keep the futon from falling out of the truck is a stroke of genius... You can always get new friends, but Jen might be upset if you lost the futon :drinks:

You got that right! When I grew up in Ohio, you could drink 3.2% beer (light beer) at 18.
On post you could get anything you wanted no matter what age you were but couldn't go into a bar off post till you were 21. I was a year in the Army before I was old enough to drink. But hell for what they were paying us you couldn't afford to drink off post anyway. E-1 pay was $90.50 per month and I was a Buck Sgt when I ETSed and was making $211. Not a lot of incentive to stay. They offered me $3000, E-6 and an all expences paid trip to SEA, for 6 more years enlistment. My offer was E-6 and a slot on the Golden Knights, Army ParachuteTeam for 3 years. They didn't take it.

PS. Dan it looks like you showed those city boys how to have country fun.
