Since I pan lube I've realy taken a liking to Lee's push through size dies, unfortunatly I haven't found anything in .458-.459 size. Anybody else make ones in that size?

Thanks

Midwayusa.com used to carry a .458 Lee push threw. But they only show .454 maybe Lee stopped maken them? If worse comes to worse you can always call Lee and have them make you one thinks its $25 or $30 I'm not sure but its a thought.

Buckshot here on the forum will make you a nice custom one for a very reasonable price. I would bet he gets it done quicker than Lee would too.

I bought a Lee in a 457 dia, and it only took a few minutes, with a couple cast boolits, Dremmel tool, and some jewelers rouge to take mine to 459. It doesn't take very long to polish out 0.002 of metal out of a sizing die. I think I paid like $15 a piece for each of my Lee sizers, so I was not worried about being out a lot of cash if I messed up one of them making it more usable. If you are uncomfortable doing it, or don't have the proper tools, I am sure some one here on the board will be willing to polish out one for you. I would but I only have the use of one arm and will be that way for about 8 more months according to the Doc.

Best Wishes from the Boer Ranch,

Joe

WWW.FACTORYSALES.COM lists the 457 sizer, be advised they are really slow to ship your order.

Lee will custom make one to your specifications as well.

Thanks, looks like worst case I could get Lee to custom make me one. I thought the size dies were carbide? If there just steel I could polish one down on the lathe. I guess if it is carbide I could still polish it down, just take longer!

They are definately not Carbide, and will hone out pretty easily. If you decide to order a custom one, I still urge ou to try Buckshot. He costs no more, works faster, and is waaaaaay more accurate than Lee. Just my opinion though....[smilie=1:
