Went to local show in Lawrenceville, GA this AM,pretty good selection of firearms, but it was just a gunshow, prices so high no one was buying. I did find 7 tins of CCI magnum #11 percussion caps @ $5.00 a tin, figureing in my admission fee, about the same price as Bass Pro.

My experience here in NE OHIO also.
No lead, no boolits, no brass(to speak of) and no primers.
Lots of guns, high prices, no deals.
Also lots of WWI and WWII memorbilia... OK if your'e into that stuff.
Not much carnivaL glass.
No idiot with the full-auto "ma deuce" LOOK BUT NOT FOR SALE.....
100+ feet of table manned by inner-city "gun dealers" peddling .380 JIMINEZ SEMI-AUTO PISTOLS for $109.00
(WTF I thought I heard of everything. JIMENEZ brand pistols??)...
Don't think I'll be going back there anytime soon........

Went to one last w/e down here in Valdosta. $8 to get in, up a dollar from last year. :-? Agree with ya, as usual the prices were eerie. Was wanting to eyebll the new Charter Arms Patriot in .327 Federal Mag. One dealer had 3 of them. MSRP is $425 on these, this dealer wanted $489 and would not haggle. Outrageous.

I did pick up a 4 pound jug of Unique for $60 OTD. I can live with that.

Last week a (real) pal called with sad news - a gun shop in the area was closing. This was followed by good news - SALE at that shop! I could not be there for the sale day, but he could, and promised to call if they had any powder available. The phone rang and he started calling out the various powder still available. Many of these were powders I commonly use, but only 1-2 cans (#1) of each were available. However, the pricing on powders was 50% OFF! I got 12 single-pound cans for $130 total price, that being about $11 per pound which includes sales tax and a tip for the friend who bought these and delivered them to my door. I feel like I still owe this guy a lunch or something more for the call about the sale plus purchase and delivery of the goods. I'll decide on some gratuity for him soon just to make the point that I appreciate his call and help.

Still a mixed bag here in Phoenix...
Deals are there to be had, but you've got to look for them & you need to know what you are buying.
