A Meffert vierling in 16 X 16 over 7 X 65 Brenneke or 9.3 X 74R and under 5.6 X 35R Vierling. I may as well want a Bugatti Veyorn. I stand about as much chance of getting one as the other.

Been saying for years I want a mini Barrett: Scaled-down, chambered in .250 Savage. Would have been a neat trainer for the kids.

How about a levergun that eats semi auto pistol ammo?
I'd love to see a Marlin 1894 in 9mm, 40S&W, or 45ACP, and I think the 9mm would be so much fun! Tube under a 20 inch barrel could hold 15-16 rounds... Fun plinker!

E.R. Shaw will make you any and all of those chamberings built on a Savage action for a reasonable price.

I have enough, enough so that it takes me a while to count them all.

What I want, one of those new Henry Single Shot rifles, .44mag this year. Someday hopefully a .45lc.

What I would like, my old Win 94 rebored to 38-55 or 35-30-30.
Possibly a semi-auto .223 but most likely not an AR. Sorry I'm too old school to for AR gun gadget extreme bs.

Possibly a .44 mag or .357 mag or .45lc lever gun. Preferably Henry, possibly older marlin.

It is fun to dream.

I want a new Henry single shot 45-70. And a lever action in 45 Colt.

I am currently working on two projects that I want to finish in 2017:

A Mauser 98 action with a Rhineland 45 ACP kit.

A 45-70 built on a Siamese Mauser action.

When I get them done I will most likely sell them and move on to another must have project or use the money for a new factory rifle.

As always, I want some more 44 specials...would like to have a 4 5/8 brl New Vaquero...no longer made and the few that were are hard to find and pretty expensive when you do find them. I prefer the SAA clones...but I would like to complete my set of Ruger's.

I want one of these [the timber] in the 6.5 creedmore for some reason.
I have the hunter in 30-06 and the only thing I don't like about it is the comb height.
okay that and the cheap scope I put on it, but the scope will get replaced.
the rifle deserves good glass, it will flat out shoot.

Henry lever in 45 colt or maybe 44 mag., or the new Henry single shot in 45/70. Throw in a RBH or RH in 45 colt.
Wouldn't mind a 1873 win. in 44/40.

A good battle rifle(bolt action) in either 30-06 or 308. I have been thinking about a Remington 1917 Enfield. They are hard to find with good barrels these days.
I don't know if anyone ever built something similar in 308 or not. Any ideas about that?

liliysdad

Ruger Gunsite, Savage does make a pseudo Scout, and there is always the venerable Steyr in Scout, Hunter, and SSG formats.

On the whole, the bolt action "battle rifle" is dead, and for good reason. The only murmur of life is the Scout concept, and its on life support.

they are out there Taz but your gonna spend 7-800 on one.

if you want a 308 version then a good looking chassis with a junk barrel would save you some cash to put towards the magazine modification and a new barrel.

Ouch! I wasn't expecting those numbers. The last time I had an interest in such rifles the prices were MUCH lower. Granted that was several years ago.
Perhaps I need to rethink this a bit.

Nice accuracy guarantee on the rifles.

I bought that particular Savage a few weeks ago. I got the one with the 24 inch barrel. I can say from experience that rifle flat shoots. I had it at the range today using Hornady 168 grain match bullets and Nosler 168 Custom competition bullets. Consistently shot 1.5 inch 5 shot groups at 200 yards. It was very windy today(15-20 mph side wind with gusts) so I think that was really good.

remlin had a problem(many many problems) of which the receiver thread was not machined correctly and when they put a barrel on the receiver it "droop" quite a bit.

it could be a real problem when trying to sight it in. a scope could no longer go up(it was out of adjustment) to sight it in.

Want , this is more fun .
A DA 45 Colts or Casuall
If a Casuall then I'd want a sister rifle , easier yet to do with a moon clipable revolver.
9mm and 40 carbines
Another 38/357 Carbine
A moon clipped 357/9mm Winchester Magnum
A 40 cal RBH convertible
A moon clipped 40 cal revolver that is long enough for for a 1.285 case but likes 40s and 10mm too .
A 425 HP 428 hooked to an 500 HP A40D in my 59' Ranchero
A turbo Carra auto stick drive train to drop in the 73' Beattle with brakes to match
Every follower of Islam that denies the teachings of Christ to spontaneously evaporate
My Dad to spend the rest of his life in a spontaneous health reset to 60
To have my old dog back
X1 to fall overboard with 3-400 # of chain over the Marrianias trench on a nice Pacific cruise
And a handy little 25ACP single shot rifle .

For a while I bemoaned the lack of cast suitable rifles being produced and wrote to manufacturers trying to encourage them to not neglect the shooting public that would want cast friendly cartridges. Finally in about 1981 I said oh forget them and made up my own. So now I still just make it up as I go along. So, what would I like to have...

1885 Winchester chambered for a 7.62x54 reformed in .375H&H dies with the bottom lopped off to suit the cartridge case diameter above the rim.

A light weight rifle chambered for the 8mm French pistol cartridge reformed from 32-20's. I like having pistol and rifle combo's and the 1892 revolver and cartridge are an excellent small game hunting combination!

Non- "military madness" cartridge rifles.

Marlin 1894 action chambered in 327 Federal. A Henry just won't cut it as there are to many features I hate, to many features it doesn't have and it's a boat anchor. Bolt actions can be built or bought in any configuration I would want. So it's the levers that escape me at the moment :(
