Interesting how my shooting skills have improved at the same rate my vision has declined.

My shooting is directly effected by how I eat. With diabetes, your vision can come and go by how close you follow your diet.

With my artificial lenses (which do not focus close) I need a smaller peep sight to make the front bead clear, and with the smaller peep less light comes through and it gets harder to find the target. So, when the light dims on a cloudy day, I switch to a larger peep so I can see the target, and the front sight gets blurry so I still have trouble hitting the target.

Maybe you can no longer see how badly you've been screwing up. I can say this as I'm in the same age category. GW

As you Get older you realise youth is wasted on the young.

When I was a pup I listened in earnest to all those old guys ( they must have been like 50) , they all said the same thing " if I'd known I was gonna live this long I'd have taken better care of myself " . So I did , I lifted right , protected my eyes and ears , stayed off motorcycles , skipped contact sports , I still hold my hard drink to a quart or less a year an hardly a bottle of beer a week . Ya know what I'm just as tore up blind and deaf as all those old guys were . On the other hand I do have a clear memory of all the stupid decisions I made in my 20s and 30s and nothing to blame it on ........

Long live the survivors of youth !
