I just received notice that in order for my FFL to ship to CA I maust only ship to a pre approved FFL and must have prior approval of the CA Business Bureau. Every shipment will require forms and approval before a package is allowed to ship. Looks like no more CA shipments.

Why, were you shipping to non FFL holders before? Just get the free approval form and ship, no big deal.

My point is these FFL holders are already approved by the Federal Government and now CA need to approve them again? Add this to the extensive list of NON CA approved guns and it makes shipping to CAA a PITA. CONUS except CA?

I wish more corps would follow Mr. Barretts lead, and tell all the Cal LEO agencies to F' off,,,,,maybe just maybe the lights would get a bit brighter., then again it is californistan so maybe not...but at the very least it would make me smile.

Hey I got enough hassles in life. If CA wants to make it hard for their residents to own guns I guess thats a CA problem. If I have a choice I'll sell where there are the least hassles. I'm sorry you guys elected those dufus folks... Nah It's not your fault you are so badly outnumbered by the sheeple. And No I don't ship to CA LEO's either.

maybe a boycott of cal l.o.'s?
doubt you could get the big-guys to do it..
they'll just hire someone to deal with it.

Nice thought but it will never happen. The "ONLY" ones that could possibly be affected by this are the honest, law-abiding people and the honest, law-abiding dealers. It's not possible for criminals or LEO's to be effected.

Two and a half more years and I can and will move back to America.

Huh?

Are you waiting on a statute of limitations to run out or something?

No . . . I am simply going to move out of the People's Socialist Republic of Kalifornia and move back to America. This is anything but the land of the free, lot's of states still much better than this one. It's not just firearm laws either, it's most things here. As soon as I can secure my medical benefits and pension (age 62) I'm outa here. If I leave now and I would love to I only get 50% of my pension (forever) and no medical until I am 62.

Waiting is tough but . . . . . ?

Ah, I see. I'd want out of there, too!

Thought maybe you were on the lam in Uruguay or something.

Its really easy to slip across their borders, only head East a bit.

Good luck and good fortune in your new location.

Beware of Wisconsin, no CCW here yet...and not likely anyway soon.

Try Mt. or Idaho, they don't have near enough people there yet...

You know that California will follow you and hit you up for CA income tax on any pension benefits earned while you lived here? Not sure they can make it stick, but they can hassle you pretty good!

I don't think they can. I was given the same information and while I lived there, I filed and paid them. I quit filing CA State Return when I moved out of state and I haven't heard a peep out of them. That was a Federal Retirement, a California company retirement might be a different matter. Retirement from the state, county, or city might be a little more "iffy".

I believe a recent change in federal tax law prohibits states from taxing former residents. Think Geo W. did it early in his first term or Slick Willie toward the end of his 2nd term. Anyway once we move out there is NO Calif. income tax.
