Mossberg Patriot

A friend of mine has 3 or 4 and says they are the best bang for the buck he has found and since he knows I am looking at .375's suggested I take a look at one in 375 Ruger. I took a look and saw one for about $300 on Sportsmans guide but ended up ordering a 30-06 combo that comes with a 3x9 Vortex scope. Total shipped was $315. I figured I try one to see how the stock is before stepping up to a boomer.


Anyone cast a shoot one of these?

Don't have the Patriot but have the Maverick 243 which is a Mossberg very similar. No fluted barrel. It is a good little rifle and I carry it a lot. About the only issue is the trigger is a little stiff but the Patriot has something similar to the Savage Accu trigger I think. Found the best thing for it was a new Vortex scope. You can go cheaper on a rifle but not the scope.
