Price of lead at 79.66 a pound as I write this. It's dropped about a dollar a pound in nine months. So ammo price will be coming down. right? [smilie=l:

If it drops enough, WWs might be available again.
This might be a reflection of the rise in US dollar value, instead of actual demand for lead.

And the high cost of fuel will be coming into play too. You can only haul so many lbs of lead on a truck.

Like gas, I doubt ammo price will go back down, but we might see some "sales". Hopefully wheel weights will soon be made of lead again instead of unobtanium.

Chinese ran out of Toys to paint.

Wait until August as they ramp up for Christmas... :???:

Buy Powder and Primers. They will be the first to get caught in an Obamanation "Homeland Security" package...

I think that the dollar is actually down since september. It's up over the last couple months. It was at 78 in september and is now "up" to 74 on the dollar index.

Probably take a while to work into the system. I assume that lead bought at
high prices that is still in stock will be sold for high prices until replaced by
cheaper new stock material.

Since wwt ingots are going for about $1/lb or more on eBay, I should see if
my local lead supplier will sell me straight metal for less. Of course, I'd have
to blend with my lino, but may be worth it.

I figure it'll take 2 years before the news trickles down to the tire guys and they don't think they're sitting on plutonium. :)

Speaking about guys that think they are sitting on Plutonium… I was buying a set of tires for my wife's car about 2 months ago. While the car was on the lift, I asked about WW. They guy told me $50 for 1/3 bucket. "F" him. Not only will I not ask about WW there again, but I'm not buying tires from that thief again either, just on principle.
