I had been thinking about this as a teaching aid fr some time but after attending an Appleseed last week and seeing how well it worked to have a stock with sling as a teaching aid , I am on the lookout for one
most any stock will do , that is solid enough that I can put some sling swivels in and shoulder in prone , sitting , kneeling and standing and more importantly get my junior leaders giving these demos.
I am a 4-H shooting sports leader and for the last few years I have been giving demos on position and sling use with an air rifle or rifle I take the bolt out of , but it is still a real gun and thus the muzzle be kept in a safe direction and youth can not see the position from the front
after seeing how well it worked at Appleseed to have just a stock with sling for doing the demos , I would like to find one , but I would like to do it for cheap
any body have ideas or happen to have one laying around that isn't going to get used
