Yall know those 209 adapters that are sold for side lock rifles...

Anybody shooting a small bore with just the 209 primer for propulsion?

For a parlor pistol:

I recall seeing pellet rifles that fired .22 air pellets with 209 primer power. Made to look like old Sharps and such, pretty neat.

Found a Perdosi in .177

I have a knight converted to a .32. .209 will push a dryball out at about ~300 fps give or take depending on brand of primer. Its basically a ~30 yard blooper. (maybe 20-30 yards level, then a dropoff) I think you may have to go down to airgun size and pellets to be able to do what I figure your looking for.

Any idea on the velocity of the Pedersi?

It advertised 635 I believe.

Pretty anemic. Is it a parlor gun meant to shoot in the house? I've thought how the Pedersoli pistol linked above would be cool for such a thing. Who needs a dart board when you have a pair of those?

I too saw merit in the idea, and reamed the chamber of an old .22 barrrel to accept the 209 primers. I turned spacers and dropped it into a H&R break-action shotgun . Using self-cast .22 cylinders dipped in lube it groups nicely at 20 yards and knocks down steel disks with more oomph than my .177 air rifle.

Then I modded .30 cal rifle shells to use the 209 primer, and with no powder it makes a nice 50 foot"blooper plinkr" with lubed 100 gr cast lead bullets.
hope this helps
