There was someone here (hopefully a vendor sponsor) that had battery operated LED lights that can go on your press to allow visual inspection of powder depths in station 3 (Dillon 550).
Who was that?
Thanks,
Donald

I was just working on lights and mirrors for my SDBs tonight! I got an Ullman magnetic base inspection mirror and stuck a Hornady LED light strip to one side of the mirror with the supplied 2 sided tape. The magnet is very powerful and the light intensive. Holds the mirror at any angle you need to see the powder charge attached to the Dillon steel strong mount. I can move it to whichever machine I'm using at the time, too.

I saw one of those Hornady lights at my LGS. I decided that I was short on plugs near the press so the battery option was better for me in this particular location. Thanks for the heads up.
I ordered the battery pack light from the Vendor Sponsor In Line Fabrication here.
By the way, there are lots of neat little gizmos he sells there. You should take a look.

I added LED light strip to my Lyman T-Mag turret press. I don't have a lot of bench top space, so adding the LED strip saved me valuable bench top real estate rather than adding another lamp to the top of my reloading bench.

I ordered the Hornady Lock N Load light strip for $14 to $15 bucks.

Can find em easily on Amazon, E-bay, Midway, Midsouth, etc.

It came with a handy plug in 12 volt power adapter too, so I did not have to run the light strip off a battery unless I want. Mounting was simply some provided peel away 2 sided tape. I cleaned the mounting area with rubbing alcohol first, before applying the adhesive tape.

The LED light strip fit nicely on the frame of my old larger T-mag press. After some trimming to the shrink tubing, it also fit on my newer style Lyman T-Mag II Press.

Was kind of hard to take a picture of the super bright LED's.
The Lights are so bright that I had to rig up a diffuser over the lights,
(I used a piece of paper) or else they're almost overpowering.

Here's the view looking through a turret hole.

I can easily see a split case, and my powder charge on the press now. I no longer have to use a flash light, or an accessory desk lamp while reloading just to see whats going on.

Thanks, I did check them out before buying this set up. I would have needed 2 of them. With the Hornady LED strip and magnetic mirror, I can move it back and forth to which ever press I'm using at the time. That and I sit while loading so, I needed a mirror either way, to see into the case to check the powder charge at the #3 station. BTW, I needed to run an extension cord over to run it. I only have 3 outlets out there.

Exactly the reason I bought the battery pack model. I have extension cords everywhere and don't need to add another. I have 4 outlets but they are all in one place. They are wired into the generator circuit so I can cast and load even during power outages.
I have one press - the Dillon 550. My casting sizing and reloading style is to set up and cast/size/reload thousands of rounds of one caliber. I really can't justify another press or two, even as much as I hate setup time.
So this was the perfect gizmo for me.

Thanks for the info on the lights ans where to buy them.

Amazon just sold me a strip for $15.79

Now to see if it produces enough light to turn off the 200 wats of bulbs I am crrently using to light up my bench.

Inline makes a great strong mount for almost every press you own,so us old folks do not have to bend over so much.

If you have any problems they are great in helping solve them and also replacing parts FOR FREE.

I would strongly recommend folks look at this great sponsors goodies.

The inline fab and hornady stuff is okay but for $10 you can get a 16' strip of LED lights and a power supply on amazon. With that you can cut off a section you need and use an existing 12v power supply wall wart to light your press and the rest of the lights for your gun safe.
