I am certainly no mold designer, but have read enough here to know about proper fit. When I picked up a M70 Featherweight in 308 Win, I knew I wanted to shoot a bunch, and for me that means surplus powder and cast. I can't afford to buy jacketed for all the shooting I want to do. I made a pound slug and broke out the mic to put a sketch together. I based some of the design principles on the 360-310 Thumper from NOE, as I have that one and it shoots lights out in my 35 Whelen AI. I also gleaned a bit from the Ranch Dog Short Neck designs. The result was the 31-175D in the Accurate Catalog. Lubed with White Label 2500+ and sitting on top of 43 grains of WC852. The neck of the chamber is a bit generous, so I made cases from once fired '06, which have a much thicker neck than factory 308 brass. Life has a habit of getting in the way of my shooting, so I have not had a chance to get out and try this combo until this weekend. I need to load some more to see if this is repeatable, but I am happy.

I would say you payed attention and done your homework.
Bravo.
43grs of 852? I'm gonna hazard a guess that the velocity was a bit over 1800 fps.

I have not yet chrono'd it, but there was no leading at all. I did water drop them, and they aged for several months.
