Hi All,

Years ago, I wanted to get into blk powder and purchased a used Lyman 50 cal trade rifle. Today, I cannot find any of them on gun broker and wonder why. Is this now a collectors gun? What is the approximate value?

Thank you for your help.

It's certainly not a collector's item.

I assume you brew beer. Nice! Do so myself.

they don't show up much on gunbroker 'cause the market for them is kinda limited plus they're good guns & people tend to keep'em. Lyman Trade Rifle & the slightly more compact Deerstalker are both available at Midsouth for less than 400 bucks new in yer choice of 50 or 54 cal, a bit more for flint.

I had a 54cal Lyman I picked up at a police auction. I took me quite a while to sell it. Its a pretty limited market. They may sell for $600 new, soon as you touch it, it loses alot of value. I finally managed to get $200 for mine. And mine was an antique with all brass hardware even the ram rod.
