Curious of what these are worth now...?

First model, low serial number 1950 336 in 35 Remington, Stock. Mint Bore.

Possibly the "Holy Grail" working man's Cast Boolit Lever Rifle ... ?

To ME, probably $500ish. I bought a mint (5 rounds fired) 1960's model for $375 shipped off the forum a few years back. Yours is obviously worth more, how much is up to the buyer. Try the RCBS 200 RF. Mine likes it a lot :)

I'm new to Marlins and have a lot to learn . . . but is that a 336SC (sporting carbine)?

I just purchased one - and If I'm not mistaken, the 336 was introduced in 1948. Mine shows up as a first year production with a prefix on the serial number of "E". Mine is in 30-30 though. Was 1950 the first year they produced the 336 in 35 Rem?

Nice looking rifle!

Thanks BBB...

Yaw mine's the first year 35 Rem. I've got a 1948 30-30 too.

Forgot what letter.

We should make this the Marlin thread... Post your favorite Marlin..!

Gotta say mine is the 22 in my avatar. Bought it mowing lawns in 1970 as a kid. Dad put it on layaway and I rode my bike down to Gemco, and put every penny down on account until I got it paid.

Still have it today, and it's still 95%. How I kept it, and kept it nice all these years I'll never know...

Medallions a pretty patina'd. I never polished the brass. Not once. 47 year old Patina... lol

Value is going to depend on the area. In some areas, like the North East, 35 Rems are a dime a dozen and readily available. I've been told they aren't as prevalent in the south. It wouldn't go for much here because of availability and the fact everyone knows ammo dries up fairly often.

It should be a waffle top which has appeal w/ collectors. But it makes it worth less to me since it's not drilled and tapped for a scope. I'd check out the classifieds on the Marlin Owners forum to see what they're currently going for. It's a better indication than Gunbroker since people are getting caught up in auction bidding.
