Hey Fellas, I picked up a Thompson Center Seneca in 36 caliber the other day. It is missing a wedge pin. Anyone know where to get one or the size so I can order one? It is the same size as my Thompson Center Patriot.

Thanks John

When you finally get a replacement pin, make sure it fits really snug or even tight. It's common for them to be loose and get lost. Some like them so tight you need a tool to remove. I just like mine tight enough it is difficult to remove. You can make them fit tighter by laying the wedge on a fat hard surface, and taping lightly with a ball peen hammer. I do stress lightly because they are easy to bend. If still not tight, keep giving it taps until it fits tight.

they show up on gunbroker from time to time but, ya gotta sift through a lot of parts to find'em as usin' search is an inexact science over there.

as to will the Patriot wedge work? try it & see.

give approximate measurements & maybe one will turn up in somebody's junk boxes.

The patriot fits good in it. I will get some measurements off it. I can always make one up but that is a lot of work for a wedge pin!!

Make it standing up with a long end mill. You can mill the whole end and leads in one set up then cut off and form the head easily in the next set up. Or find the correct dimension of bar stock and cut long heat and forge the head onto it. This is even easier as the head is formed hot and can be Tapped out pretty acurratly leaving it to file and polish in. clamped in a heavy smooth fawed vise with 1/4" or so sticking up and heated red hot then formed with a small ball peen hammer to shape thickness and head shape.

I have seen them for sale in blister packs at Cabela's but not sure if was the size needed. Maybe you could get one and fit it.

.

Track has a .358" wide x .120" thick x 1.5" long, tapered wedge for $4.60: https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/964/3/KEY-USA-B

Track shows 3 different wedges, but two are out of stock right now.
