For the 6.5x55 is the 266469 an accurate bullet or what are you folks using that gives superb accuracy? Thank you, Paul.

It will depend on how it fits your chamber. The 6.5mm has widely different chamber and groove/bore sizes and you really need a pound slug of your chamber.

Be aware that the older 266469 Ideal molds cast larger in diameter (.268") compared to the newer Lyman molds (.265"). Check out the NOE molds.

12gr of unique really power them well.

ACWW, that one shown blew through one gallon jug of water and landed in the second one denting the back.

Don't know the velocity but there is no recoil with it in my 6.5x55.

Only use them for 25 yds target shooting and they hit to point of aim for me.

I like them a bunch. I'd not hesitate to smack a deer out to 50 yds with it.

here's the write up I did on my "blog" "website"

Maybe, It depends on your pill dispenser...American made 6.5's are typically .264 while foreign milsurps, tend to to be .003 to .005 larger. I had a Custom Jap 38 that was rechamered to 257Rx6.5 but utilized the original Jap barrel which slugged at .2685 I tryed using the 266469 but the mold only dropped a .267 pill, I beagled it and got a .270 x .267 Olong pill, then sized it with a .269 size die and ended up with a .269 x .268 Olong pill that shot just OK. I sold that mold and now I have a three different oversize NOE 6.5molds that I'm still wringing out...hoping for some 1MOA, but not there yet.
Good Luck.

Hello Pat303. I`m interested in your NOE mould. What weight does it cast and what diameter. Thank you, Paul.

Yes, the nose was too large of a diameter for my rifles bore. I think it measured .265" on the nose portion.
