But not my best either.

As some of you know, my wife has been reassigned and we are in the process of moving. Most of our household goods are in storage. The storage company called today and told us that some of their facilities suffered storm damage over the weekend and we needed to come out and check on our things. When I got there, our storage was still standing in water (and it hasn't rained since Sat. afternoons). I spent hours this evening sorting through the carnage. Rust on my tools made me sick. In addition to a couple of guns and some of my reloading gear, water got my grinder, band saw, drill press and lots of hand tools. I got through about a third of it today. I have to go back and finish going through it tomorrow and move it to another facility (after I find one). It could have been much worse, but I still have a house to move (after 2 weeks of delay, the decision came down that we have to be out of our current quarter this weekend).

On top of all that, I broke my glasses, misplaced a set of keys (I might have had help) and one of my group buys came in.

Ever feel like a one-legged, one-lunged man in an underwater asskicking contest?

Know the feeling well. Lost a house to a flood in 1974.Carried my two kids out on my back in waist deep water.Moved to higher ground.Four years ago moved out of town to a country lot on a knowl. Before we moved we had some pretty heavy rains. My work shop sat about 2ft. of the ground in a low spot. water got about three feet deep .Tools. corn cob, walnut, my three tumblers that sat on the floor were under water for two days. I know how you feel. Lots of luck on the clean up,and the move. Bill

Take those water soaked power tools and put the WD-40 to them. It's saved a few for me. Hope things go better today!
