Cabelas has Winchester primers on sale, free shipping and an added 10% off. I just bought 40,000 delivered for under $1100. Regrettably, they were out of small pistol rifle primers but I now have a lifetime supply of rifle primers.

That's only 33.3 years if you pop 100/mo. Might ought to get some more.[smilie=1:

they were out of the small rifles and the s&b's were still cheaper so I stuck with them, got the 10% off and free shipping. 40,000 seems like a lot till you really think about it, the primer is the Achilles heal of loading so you can never have to many.

Thanks for the heads up. Just ordered me 18k. Can never be too prepared

40-k is a good number.
I stay in that area with the 4 different sizes.
I'm near that with shotshell primers but have been on a loading tear with them recently so that stock has been steadily going down.
I doubt i'll walk into a cabellas and find the winchester's for 24.00-k any time soon.

With this order, I'll have just over 50k primers. It's really not a lot. Especially when you're shooting several hundred a range trip weekly.

To to shoot just 100/mo is unthinkable.

If you shoot a 2-3 hundred a week, it doesn't take long to use up 10-15k of primers.

As for the primers, I have some but I always need more!!! Lol. I'm trying to support my local gunshop so he can remain open! It's a heck of a deal, though! Local gunshop is pretty close to price, so I feel I should help him out if I can. Digital Dan, that's some fine looking hog meat there for sure! Perfect size.

You guys know that if you sign up at activejunky.com and click on the Cabela's link that you'll get another 10% off in addition to the 10% and free shipping that Cabelas is doing right?

I was at a Cabela's today and a guy working there told me that if you click on ship to store, that you won't get charged a Hazmat fee. If that is true and you have a Cabela's nearby, you can get these for $21 something per K

Some of you lads need to buy a flintlock. Rocks are cheap and plentiful.

My order will bring me to a total of about 175k primers. And 100/mo. is child's play. LOL. But I am feeling my age or I would order another 50k. If Hillary wins, I am OK. If Trump wins, at least I bought at a decent price. If I get hit by a beer truck, my son will think I was a nut case.

dang, I wish I knew about the activejunky thing yesterday, when I placed my order.
There is a Cabela's an hour away from me, while I was 'checking out' on the website, I attempted to ship to store...the website allowed it, but still charged me $20 HazMat. I decided instead of fighting that fight, it seemed worth it, to save that hassle, as well as, the hassle of driving there next week.
