I thank each for caring and offering prayer . Constant diarrhea with a lot of black blood , pain in low abdominal since Sunday. Finely went to clinic care yesterday and got some medicine prescribed , said serious blood loss and dehydration . Wore out from not sleeping , tired .

After 24 hours on the medicine the diarrhea has slacked off about 75% , it's working , was able to sleep some last night .
Talked to a Chapel member on the phone yesterday , he gently chewed me out for not asking for prayer here and being hardheaded . Gave me some good ideas about what to eat and in general built me up with encouragement . I had a better outlook after talking to him and posted a prayer request .There are many good people here that care . (Can't imagine anyone thinking I might be hardheaded !)

Wow! Lots of folks don't realize what that can do to a man, but many have died through the years from that type of thing. It can be a LOT more serious than most would give it credit for. Doubling up on my prayers for you. And whoever you talked to was right. Don't be so hard-headed! I used to be the same way, so I know whereof I speak on this. Now that we're no longer 10 ft. tall, bulletproof and immortal, we've GOT to start taking our bodies a lot more seriously, and treating them with more respect than we've traditionally given them. The wonder of giving in to our new, more vulnerable status is that treating ourselves with greater concern brings with it, a renewed appreciation of our just still being here. And we'd miss your "Thanks for today" posts! Get well, brother! We need ya' here!
