I am not too happy with my latest Lyman mold although it isn't really anyones fault. My 335 gr. .378 dia. Postell mold has a bore rider that is .003 over the bore of my rifle so you need a press to load the cartridge. I have seated the boolits far enough into the case so the rifling is just starting to engrave the nose of the boolit but this really eats up powder capacity.

The Lyman mold before this one was a 535 gr. .458 Postell mold and it cast boolits right at .458 dia. and the bore rider area at .450. I needed to size the boolits to .459 dia. so I was out of luck again until I lapped out the mold and got it to cast boolits around .461 dia. and the bore rider came out at .454 which was
.001 over my bore dia. so a light push would engrave the bore rider when chambering. This rifle is out getting a new barrel so who knows how the mold will work out when I get the rifle back.

It's starting to seem very worthwhile to spend the money for a custom mold and get exactly what you want.
