Anyone have any hands on experience with Lyman’s new cast .22 bullet No. 225646, 55gr.?

What were your accuracy results?

Any pro's or con's on this rather unusual style bullet?

Sorry for the late response. I've got the mold and ran a small batch. Only had satisfactory enough weather for very limited testing so far. I've tried it in a 12" twist .223 and a 14" twist .222. Lightly neck turned cases, seated .010 longer than jam length (to get them firmly into the rifling). Overall length causes a problem seating them in my .223 Lee Dead-Length die. I'm going to have to check the other .22 dies and see if I can find a shorter seating plug, about 0.100" too long for the die to work right. The .223 seems to favor about 15 gr. of Rx-7 with a R-P 7-1/2. The .222 seems happy in the same area with a R-P 6-1/2. Had to cast up some more and intend to work things out over the summer. 50 yd groups around 1/2" so far. Need to play with it more, need more Rx-7, maybe milder primers.
