How were these molds designed to be used, i am familiar with the Prot-x-bore molds, using the zinc washer, but i cant figure these out???

I'm no expert on these, but I was under the impression they were designed to take a half jacket.

I think I have some of the 429510 boolits around which means I may even have the mould somewhere in my meager little inventory.

you shoved them in a half jacket and run them into your 429 or 430 bottom die with your SWC top punch installed on your C&H swage-O-matic swage press like the one in my garage set-up for 358 right now.

they should be in the 400-410 diameter range on the bottom stem to slip into the jackets and near 429 or so on the front drive band using near or pure lead.

Did they shoot well, was there any issues with application? Would yhis be a viable way to produce half jackets without complete swaging setup?

They were intended to provide JSP performance for the handloader and avoid the problems associated with bullets made of pure lead--think luballoy-- but were rendered non-essential when major manufacturers began making and selling their own factory jacketed stuff. Bear in mind that when these molds came out, chicken teeth were more common than factory Jacketed. By 1971, they were non-essential and pretty much obsolete.
