Has anyone tried a coconut oil based lube?

A couple years ago I considered it for a natural black powder lube and got some "Lou Anna" (popcorn) coconut oil bars, took out to shop, but never used them, when the cooler is not on, it can often get up to 130-F there. Today, I came across the bars and was surprised to find they were not rancid, still firm, and had not melted down. (which is more than I can say for some commercial lubes in the lubrisizer)

Yeah. Once.

After about 20 minutes shooting I found myself being surrounded from the downwind side by a herd of several dozen monkeys. Ugly scene. Don't do it.
